Inhae constantly seeks to express the playful fantasy world of her childhood that continues to grow and evolve in her mind.
To her adult audiences, her work may invoke feelings of nostalgia and reminiscence as well as provide a temporary escape from reality. They are able to bring back the childhood dreams and imaginary creations such as princesses in fairy tales, magic-wielding sorcerers, or mythical creatures like flying unicorns, that they once held in their hearts as little kids – thoughts that had withered away to be forgotten through the process of turning into reality-driven adults.
To her younger audiences, her work may serve as a visual catalyst that could water the still growing creative tree of the children.

Kim In-hae's fantasy seen through 'Eyes'
Her fanciful paintings represent the artist's endless pursuit of childhood innocence. With large, sparkly eyes, figures in Kim's paintings reveal the fantasy inside the artist that has been built, shaped, and groomed since her childhood. Her "Eye the Children" series centers on the symbolism behind the eyes and evokes nostalgia, bringing back childhood dreams. According to her artist's statement, Kim "has an imaginative mind that flows with innovative adventures which blossom with child-like innocence."
